About Us

Yup, this is us. Cool eh?
Ok, so that is Brad on the left. We’ve known each other since 2003 I think. Once upon a time, in a subnet far, far away, Brad and I were stationed together in the military. We’ve managed to do a decent job at staying in touch, and we generally have some sort of correspondence at least 2-3 times a week. We actually talk a good bit more since we started this site. Brad and I live like 500 miles apart… on the dot. The picture on the left was of the one and only time that I went to visit him at his new home in the midwest. We were at a science museum (yes, I know) and we were waiting on a simulated wheelchair race :).
Professionally Brad works for one of the top government IT contractors in the US. On a side note, his former CIO is now my CIO (#It’s as small world after all#). He’s an awesome server guy, one of the best that I know. He is still my go to guy when I need to figure something silly out. He’s got a knack for it. He primarily works on Winders, but love’s Mac’s (not big). Privately, Brad is married, has a mini-Brad and a mini-Brad number two on the way. I think his hobbies are just hanging out with his family. We like this site, but kids & wives are more fun.

Right, so that makes Jon the cool dood on the right in the photo. Jon and I were stationed in Germany together for well over a year. Not many people know this (they will now!) but I had a pretty rough time over there because my wife was a long distance girlfriend at the time which made life pretty miserable. I ended up spending a lot of time over at Jon and his lovely wife’s house and I owe them a great deal because they were my family. We did lots and lots of geek stuff and played lots and lots of Battlefield 1942 and Dark Age of Camelot. ‘Twas a hoot.
Jon works for one of the top if not THE top engineering companies in the US as a network engineer. Without a doubt he has helped me fumble through many a networking debacles. He’s a bright dude, knows Cisco equipment like nobody’s business, and as geek as they come. And like me, he pretty much thinks most other people are idiots. He’s one of the few people I consider worthy of keeping in touch with and I wouldn’t want anybody else helping me with this website.
